Where do I begin? I have been looking forward to today for a long time. This past week was filled with anticipation for my first Reiki session. I have always been curious about Reiki and never knew where to venture to find someone to help me on my journey. I was previously touched with lightwork a few years ago that left me looking deeper inward for the mantras and strength that would push me forward. As life goes, time passes by, and sometimes you push yourself to the wayside. Stress builds, muscles fatigue, the mind grows weary and your emotions get heavy. This has been my experience for the past season - mixed emotions and a restless mind. Where was the time to feed my own soul? Then I met Matthew. From our first encounter I knew there was something truly special about him. Matthew has a way of putting people at ease and getting them excited about life and all its innerworkings. He is so down-to-earth but incredibly professional. He did a thorough intake, introduced me to Reiki and its process (I scanned the internet for hours and never found half as much as what he taught me), answered any questions I had, and made me feel ready for what I had so anxiously been waiting for. What started as a peaceful meditation turned into a journey. I see a counselor and regulary work on myself. ...or so I thought. I knew in the weeks before seeking out Matthew's help, that I had been emotionally cloudy and losing my spark. Here I was, hours later, coming out of one of the most exhilarating and intimate moments of self-discovery, relaxation, and balance of my life. My week-long headache disappeared, the knots in my neck and back started to release, the happiness and simplicity of life seemed to flow through me again. I'm so excited for my next session and am beyond thankful for the work Matthew put in today. My Reiki session felt emotional and personal, but I could have never found such clarity and balance on my own. Matthew truly is a healer. I can sit here and talk about it all day, but it really has to be experienced to be understood. Everyone has a healthy skepticism about lightworking and things of that nature, but I was truly blown away. Thanks again to Matthew and his incredibly honed gift that he chooses to share with the world.
